University of North Colorado: Identify who has expertise; leverage the knowledge and influence of your group from previous election seasons; review and revise any unhelpful policies ASAP; follow your policies and procedures and educate the community about how to apply the policy in an equitable way; engage the community through shared messages. Focus on constructive dialogue throughout the season while encouraging freedom of expression around current issues; this aligns with the strategic plan and university learning outcomes as well as student affairs learning aims; voter-friendly campus designation, including an increase in registered voters; partner with local election officials/election voting locations to increase voter registration and turnout.
University of San Diego DEI Strategic Response plan: pre-communication & transparency; assess level of threat + engage stakeholders; activate team members (e.g., Legal); develop an action plan with communication; implement and monitor the action plan; final resolution is observed and evaluated; organizational strategy: anticipate potential threats to operations, develop a training schedule to support key members of the university, identify a training scenario to engage the emergency operations center team, assess/evaluate written policy and tactical practices, maintain a heightened profile of open communication and transparency.
