About This Page

The purpose of this page is to guide users to reputable resources about the fiscal/economic turbulence which has affected the U.S. economy since 2007.  This is an incredibly complex problem which has engendered analysis and commentary from across the political spectrum and there are myriad proposed remedies.

Resources include Congressional hearings and debates, other government resources (including federal laws), news and commentary, and reports from research institutes (both academic and private).  Many of these research reports are partisan in nature.  Some of the topics discussed are still "in play".  Others link to documents created to address specific problems and are valid for following the historical background of the crisis.

Please be advised that access to electronic books, databases, and streaming videos are restricted to the Johnson & Wales community.
