What's your plan to vote?

Step 1: Can I vote?  Are you Registered?

  • Check your status, get your polling place and have your status texted to you!

Step 2: Can you Register Online?

Step 3: Request an Absentee Ballot and Make a Plan

  • Voting by mail, sometimes called absentee voting, is a way that you can vote before Election Day using a ballot mailed to the address you used to register to vote.

Step 5: Is there a primary in your state?

  • If and when there is a primary in your state

    • Find voter information specific to your state. The "Voting in New England" section offers links to check your voter registration status, register to vote, request absentee ballots, and access state government websites with voting details. It also includes contact information for your town clerk or board of canvassers.

    • These pages, listed alphabetically, offer direct links to state government websites with voting information, details on how to register to vote (online when possible, otherwise by mail), information on ID requirements and voting by mail or absentee voting.
