Use this guide for helpful resources for your course.

Image Citation Basics

In your Works Cited, you'll want to include as much of the information below as you can:

  • Artist’s name or username, surname first
  • Title of the work, in quotations
  • Museum and city (if known)
  • Date of creation
  • Website or database, in italics
  • Medium of publication

Example:

Ernst, Max.  "L'Ange du Foyer."  1937.  Private Collection.  Google

Royalty Free Images

Images from royalty free clip art, such as the clip art available in Microsoft Word or Power Point, do not need to be cited.
