- National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL)"The only federal laboratory dedicated to the research, development, commercialization and deployment of renewable energy and energy efficency technologies". Much of the content is concerned with the practical application of renewable energy use in the commercial sector. Searchable "Publications" database (from 1977 to the present) includes reports, presentations, "fact sheets", brochures and more.

- Alliance to Save Energy (ASE)Founded in 1977, the ASE is a "nonprofit organization that promotes energy efficience worldwide through research, education and advocacy". Target audience is "business, government, environmental and consumer leaders". "Topics" include links to information for appliances, building codes/standards, financing, lighting and windows. Excellent, user-friendly resource for practical advice on saving energy.

Another excellent, user-friendly site for energy efficiency.

"advocates for policies at state, national and international levels that increase the use of commercially-available clean energy technologies, products and services." Links to similar organizations (international, federal/regional/state government resources.) - Renewable Energy & Energy Efficiency Partnership (REEEP)"A non-profit, specialist change agent aiming to catalyse the market for renewable energy and energy efficiency, with a primary focus on emerging markets and developing countries".
