What are Alternative Course Materials?

Alternative Course Materials are freely available to select users and can be used for educational purposes. Original copyright restrictions apply. 

Five Flavors of Alternative Course Materials:

Retain: Original copies for personal use only.

Reuse:  Content cannot be reused in an altered form.

Revise: Content cannot be revised or altered.

Remix: The original content cannot be combined with other content to create something new.

Redistribute: Copies of the content cannot be shared with others beyond Fair Use policies for educational purposes.

  • eBooks
  • Videos
  • TED talks
  • YouTube
  • Khan Academy

You can find them in the library databases, or freely access them on the web.
