Research Paper
This term we have focused on a variety of ecological issues. The purpose of this research paper is for you to gather extensive research and perform a “deep dive” into a specific topic related to Rhode Island or your home state. You can write about invasive species in RI, water pollution, land pollution, recycling, etc. Also, how are you going to convince the state’s residents to change, i.e. “The Tragedy of the Commons”.
You must include the following:
· Proof that there is a problem
· Provide a solution
· How will you convince the population to implement your solution?
Whatever you decide to research you must include a minimum of 5 sources to support your claims/inform your audience of the subject. The sources should be no more than 5 years old unless you are using a source for comparative purposes (for example, showing that in 1990 fewer people recycled, etc.)
5 page minimum - MLA format, 12-point font, double-spaced, works cited.
The EPA website is a good place to start: https://www.epa.gov/environmental-topics/location-specific-environmental-information
