You can check out the print textbook for free for 2 hours at a time with your JWU reserve.

Which library databases should you use?
My recommendations:
- Academic Search Complete
- Provides full-text, scholarly articles for a range of disciplinary subjects.
- Opposing Viewpoints in Context (GALE)
- Provides a variety of sources that focus on dynamic, controversial topics.
- CQ Researcher Online (SAGE)
- Provides in-depth coverage of important issues such as social trends, the economy, health, etc.
- Statista
- Provides a multitude of statistics, charts, and other data on controversial topics.
The JWU library has two style guides:
Follow these tips when verbally citing sources in a speech or presentation:
Your verbal citation should be brief but highlight the most important information: who, what and when.
- Author
- Author Credentials
- Title of work (article, report, etc.)
- Date of work (if relevant)
Use an introductory phrase:
- "According to Professor Dumbledore at Hogwarts University..."
- "Rita Skeeter, a journalist with the Daily Prophet, wrote in her 2014 article..."
- “In his 2005 commencement address at Stanford University Steve Jobs said, ‘Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life.’”
