- Academic Search Complete (EBSCO) This link opens in a new window
- A great place to start for most topics
- Mostly full-text articles from scholarly peer-reviewed journals, trade journals, popular magazines, and newspapers
- If full-text is not available, click link to Check for Full Text (Providence) to connect to Interlibrary Loan (ILL) request form
Use Academic Search to search for peer reviewed/scholarly articles, newspaper articles, or eBooks. For example, if your research topic is "social media effects on voter behavior", use the search box to find popular or scholarly articles on "social media", along with "voter behavior" and you may add "positive" or "negative" "impact or effect."
- Enter in your basic search terms, such as "Texting while Driving"
- Limit to Full Text, so you can read articles online
- Check News, Magazines or Scholarly/Peer Reviewed for academic articles
- Scroll down the first page of articles, and click on the most interesting one
- Click on one of the Subject Terms (they're hyperlinked) and see where it takes you!
