Scenario: You have to write a paper for a retail marketing class on the topic of how you would develop a strategy to address the impact of COVID on the retail industry.

Using the Google Doc, work with your team to evaluate the database you've been assigned to teach your classmates how to find information on how COVID has impacted the retail industry.

Is your database useful for the COVID impact on retail assignment?

Pro-Tip: Each team evaluates ONE of the following databases:

Group 1 WGSN

Create a free account and then choose "fashion" tab at the top. On the right hand side, enter coronavirus in the search bar, by clicking the magnifying glass. Choose one of the articles about the impact of Covid on the fashion industry to share out with your classmates. Enter your thoughts on the Google Doc.

Group 2 Business Source Complete

  • Add fashion or retail to the next search box
  • Click "Full Text" on the left hand side
  • Click Search
  • Choose an article and click on it
  • Look for the citation and email buttons on the right
  • Add your thoughts to the Google Doc.

Group 3 IbisWorld

  • (Prot tip: find the NAICS Code for the industry- you can search Google for the code or search by industry name)
  • For industry information and the "competitive landscape".
  • Search for "NAICS code" above. Notice all the info under different tabs.
  • Add your thoughts to the Google Doc.

Group 4 RKMA Handbooks

  • Search for "Retail Business Market for 2020-2021"
  • Ctrl + "covid" or "coronavirus"
  • Add your thoughts to the Google Doc.

Group 5 Women's Wear Daily

  • Type Covid or Coronavirus in the search box on the upper right hand side
  • Find an article and copy the title to your Google Doc. Answer the questions there as a team.
